The Opposite of Me by Sarah Pekkanen

It's sickening how long it has been since I've blogged. It's horrifying...especially since I have been reading the crap out of books. Seriously. First and foremost...this has easily become a favorite book of mine. I try to pimp it out as much as I can. It's perfect for a summer read...or a winter read (heck throw spring and fall in there too). Anyway, it's called the Opposite of Me by Sarah Pekkanen. This book was already considered a best seller before it hit shelves. Let me tell you about it.

Lindsey Rose has worked hard her entire life to be the best...at everything she does. She's young and on her way to a deserving promotion...however, life happens. And when she doesn't land the goal of her dreams she starts a downward spiral of actions that lands her back in her home town without a job. She keeps these secrets from her family (more importantly her fraternal twin sister...her lifetime competition) while she tries to find herself. All of it is wonderful and I don't want to say anymore in fear of giving anything away.

You know me...I hate to read the backs of books because I'm afraid it will give too much away. It's why it took me a couple chapters of reading Twilight to realize I was reading a vampire book.

So. How did I find this gem...well actually she found us a year or so ago. She left a comment on our blog and I have been anticipating the release of her book ever since. She was right on by comparing her writing styles to Emily Giffin. She's funny. She's angsty. And seriously I can't wait for her next book.

And because Blogger hates me (I remember why I don't post pictures) I will have to put a picture up of her cover later.

Love you girls!
