well i posted on my blog so why not post here! this is just my reiteration post. i decided to stop venturing out for new titles and go for ones that y'all suggested. well that got me into a whirlwind of reading trouble. First off, the House of Night series is freaking great....Danni, Kris y'all will love them...and I'm sorry i'm the worst at mailing crap out....danni you will get them next week i swear! now the evanovich series is even greater...and kris i'm sorry i'm the worst at mailing crap out....kris you will get them next week i swear! and then the babble series...I LOVED IT. she kinda wore me out a little with her internal monologue...but really Cabot knows how to write sweet scenes that make you smile....so now what am i going to read???????? well because i saw the movie last night and all i have on my brain now is twilight...well i'm gonna read new moon. again. i read twilight last week, so i'm movin on to book 2. anyway, hopefully no empty promises were made by me just now about sending those books. they are in my car ready to go out....every time i plan to do it i run out of time...and when i have time i forget. so ok. someday next week. they will get to you guys somehow.

More Books I Know!

So I know the list of books we all have lined up is incredibly long and just keeps getting longer, but I wanted to blog about this book I just finished. You may have already read it because I know it was a popular book and one of Oprah's favorites, but I am still dazed from reading it. I'm actually deciding that I'm not going to try and sum up this book because I think it would be too hard and it won't give it enough justice, but I took this off one of the reviews I read.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is a tale of two generations of characters in Afghanistan, brought together by the tragic sweep of war, where personal lives-the struggle to survive, raise a family, find happiness-are all inextricable from the history playing out around them. It is a striking, heart-wrenching novel of an unforgiving time, an unlikely friendship, and an indestructible love.

All I have to say is that it fills you with a full range of human emotions, from rage, love, hate, hope and above all, faith. Let me just tell you, I cried my eyes out. I apologize for the horrible blog, but your just going to have to read it sometime in this lifetime. Not anytime soon, I know, but sometime.
This is the other book Hosseini wrote before A Thousand Splendid Suns, and it's really good also. I read it this summer and it was an international best seller. Another tear jerker that fills you with a million emotions, but definitely worth reading. They actually made a movie out of this book, but like all movies the book is way better.

The Time Traveler's Wife

So I just finished this book and it was AMAZING!!! Brilliant writing is all I can say. This author, Audrey Niffenegger is so talented. I cried, I laughed, it was so so good. I definitely recommend this book to all of you. It is definitely one of those books we should all read. This book "is a heart-wrenching account of a time traveler named Henry, who spontaneously "travels." He cannot control when the time travel happens and it leads to a very unpredictable life. Henry meets Clare and thus begins a love story of two people who can never be completely together. Oh it is so good girls. I would definitely mail it to one of you but it is a library book that I checked out. It is an older book so you can probably find it at the library too. Let me know what ya'll think about it!!

Something Blue

Let me just take a minute and say how much I LOVED this book. And now I just love Darcy. I hated her so much and now I love her!!! I cannot wait to read "Baby Proof"! Have any of you read "Love the One You're With" yet? Emily Giffin is a very talented author. Her stories are so real and believable. It is almost like she is telling the story from personal experience. I got my cousin Teri to read "Something Borrowed" and she finished "Something Blue" before I did and is now reading "Baby Proof"! And I had a feeling Goeffrey and Sondrine would get together after he brought Sondrine home that one night. Did any of you get that feeling? Girls thank you so much for making me read this book! And Val thank you so much for mailing it to me. When JD sends me the PC Cast books and I finish reading them, I will mail all the books including "Something Blue" back to you! The next book I am starting is called "The Time Traveler's Wife". I will let ya'll know how it goes! Then movie is coming out soon and it stars one of my favorites, Rachel McAdams!

Okay girls, so I wanted to blog about his book that I read about a month ago. It's a really short story and an easy read, but it's nothing like the books we've been blogging about. Although there is a short love story that goes along with the book, it is mainly about the life of a Bin Laden women. It's a true story of Osama Bin Ladens sister in-law, Carmen Bin Ladin. Basically it is Carmen's life story of what it was like being a part of the Bin Ladin family before 9/11 happened. It is really interesting and eye opening the reality of the whole thing. It makes me appreciate my up bringing and my life here in America. It does not really go into details about what happened on 9/11 or even to much about Osama, however it gives you insight into what life is like for Islamic women and how behind they are compared to America.  I know it may sound boring but it is really good and like I said before, it's a quick read.
